Short version: We collect only what we need to monitor and protect your brand, take payments, and talk to you. We never sell your personal information. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your data at any time by emailing services@trademarkcopyrightprotection.com.
Effective date: September 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Trademark Copyright Protection (“TCP”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit trademarkcopyrightprotection.com (the “Site”), contact us, book a demo, buy a plan, or use our trademark and copyright monitoring and enforcement services (together, the “Services”).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact and demo requests: name, email address, company or firm, whether you are a brand owner or law firm, how many trademarks you want monitored, and anything you write in your message.
- Onboarding details: after you buy a plan, the brand names, trademarks, registration numbers, logos, websites, social accounts, marketplaces, and other details you give us so we can monitor them.
- Payment details: handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive your name, email, plan, and payment status. We never see or store your full card number.
- Communications: emails, approvals, and instructions you send us, including your decisions on whether to act on a finding.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs.
- Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to tell people from bots. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Cookies: we use only cookies needed for the Site to work, for security, and for embedded tools such as our booking calendar. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Information from public sources
To deliver monitoring, we scan publicly available sources such as trademark registers, marketplaces, social media platforms, app stores, websites, and domain records for possible infringements of your brand. These findings can include public information about the sellers, accounts, or websites involved.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Services: monitoring your brand, preparing reports and alerts, and, with your approval, filing takedown requests and other enforcement actions.
- To reply to enquiries, schedule demos, and give customer support.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send service emails such as welcome messages, reports, and alerts. We send occasional product updates only where the law allows, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the Site and Services secure and to prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to find and sort possible infringements. A person reviews the results, and we take enforcement action only after you approve it.
3. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business under contracts that limit how they may use your data. These include website hosting (IONOS), payments (Stripe), forms (Tally), email delivery (Brevo), customer relationship management (HubSpot), scheduling (Cal.com), cloud productivity and storage (Google Workspace), workflow automation, and AI processing providers.
- Platforms and authorities when you approve enforcement action. For example, a takedown notice sent to a marketplace or host usually has to include the rights holder’s name and contact details.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers, if TCP is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Your information would stay protected by this Policy.
4. Google user data
Some of our internal tools connect to Google services (for example Google Sheets and Gmail) through Google APIs to run our own operations. Data we get from Google APIs is used only to provide and improve those operations and is not sold, used for advertising, or transferred except as needed to provide the Services, for security, or to comply with law. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. After that, we keep it only as long as needed for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes, or to keep records of enforcement actions taken on your behalf. Then we delete or anonymise it.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International transfers
Our team and service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or California privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link.
- Not be treated differently for exercising your rights.
To make a request, email services@trademarkcopyrightprotection.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will reply within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The Services are for businesses and professionals. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites and services. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, if the changes are significant, let customers know by email.
