USPTO
NOVA GEAR — Application No. 98/234,871
Someone filed a new trademark on 9 March that sounds exactly like yours — same product categories, same industry, almost certainly a direct competitor. This one needs your attention before the clock runs out.
Trademark conflict — nearly identical name in your exact categories
Recommended action: We need to file an opposition before 9 April 2026 — that’s your 30-day window. We’ve already drafted the brief. One click and it’s done
Instagram
@novagoods_official — Impersonation account
Someone set up a fake account on 7 March using your logo, your name, and your photos — and they’re already running fake giveaways to steal from your customers. They’ve racked up 6,800 followers in nine days. Not great.
Fake account — your brand, your photos, not you
Recommended action: We’ve put together the full evidence package — trademark certificate, screenshots, registration details — and it’s ready to go. We just need your approval to submit it to Meta.
Amazon
147 counterfeit listings — unauthorized seller “NovaG Store”
A seller has 147 listings using your brand name and your product photos — and they’re undercutting you by 55%. Customers are buying fakes, leaving bad reviews, and blaming you. This one’s hurting your reputation and your revenue.
Counterfeits at scale — your name, your photos, not your products
Recommended action:We’ve identified the seller account and drafted the Brand Registry complaint. Ready to file — your approval is all we need
Domain
novagoods.shop — Active fraudulent storefront
Someone built a fake copy of your store four days ago and they’re already taking payments. Twelve customers have complained on social media. This is active fraud happening under your brand name right now.
Fake store — your brand, accepting real payments, right now
Recommended action:This one is urgent — real customers are being defrauded today. We’ve identified the hosting provider and drafted the C&D letter. We recommend filing the UDRP and abuse report immediately.
Google Ads
Competitor bidding on “NOVA Goods” — brand keyword infringement
A competitor is paying Google to show up when people search for your brand — and it’s working. Their ads are appearing above yours, diverting an estimated 800–1,200 of your potential customers every week. That’s your traffic, going to them.
Paid ad hijacking — bidding on your brand name to steal your customers
Recommended action: We’ve got the advertiser ID and the complaint is pre-filled. This is a straightforward win — Google’s trademark policy is clear on this. Ready when you are
TikTok Shop
“NOVA Goods Official” — 89 counterfeit products, 2,300+ units sold
A seller in Shenzhen has set up shop on TikTok using your exact brand name, your packaging trademark, and your photos — and they’ve already sold 2,300+ units of confirmed counterfeits. This is a big one.
Major counterfeit operation — 89 listings, 2,300+ fakes sold
Recommended action: We’ve pulled together the full takedown package and have the seller’s contact information. TikTok’s IP process is fast when the evidence is solid — and ours is. Ready to file.
Section B — Keeping a Close Eye

Domain
nova-goods.com — Parked, no active content
This domain was registered a week ago and it’s just sitting there — parked with nothing on it. Looks like a squatter waiting to either sell it back to you or activate it later. Not a crisis today, but worth keeping on our radar.
Parked typosquat — nothing happening yet, but we're watching
Recommended action:We’ll keep a close eye on this one. The moment anything changes — site goes live, email starts working — we’ll flag it immediately. C&D is drafted and ready to go if needed.
Etsy
“Nova Goods Inspired” — 34 listings, brand name in shop title
This Etsy seller is using your brand name in their shop title and 34 product listings, with the word “Inspired” tacked on to try to stay legal. Spoiler: it doesn’t fully work. Customers are getting confused, which is the real problem.
Passing off risk — trading on your name with a flimsy "inspired" disclaimer
Recommended action: We’re watching to see if they drop the “Inspired” qualifier or start using your mark more directly. If they do, the Etsy report and C&D are ready to go. Keeping this in our sights.
Meta Ads
“NOVA Lifestyle” — lookalike brand advertising to your audience
“NOVA Lifestyle” is running ads on Meta targeting your exact audience and putting “NOVA” front and centre in their creative. They’re not using your full trademark, but your customers are definitely getting confused. We’re keeping close tabs.
Dilution risk — similar brand muddying the waters in your market
Recommended action:We’re tracking their ad spend and reach. If they grow significantly, we move to opposition. Advertiser ID logged and ready. For now — watching.
EUIPO
NOVA GOODS (stylized) — EUIPO Application No. 018923441
Someone filed your exact mark name in the EU last week — different class (retail services vs. your goods), but same name. The EU gives you three months to oppose from publication. Not urgent today, but we’ve put it in your calendar so it doesn’t sneak up on you.
EU watch — identical name, different class, deadline coming
Recommended action:We’ve calendared the EU publication date and we’ll ping you the moment the opposition window opens. Brief is already drafted. Nothing to do right now — just know we’ve got this covered.
YouTube
“Nova Goods Review” channel — 23 monetized videos, 14,200 subscribers
There’s a monetized YouTube channel using your brand name that’s reviewing counterfeit versions of your products without disclosing they’re fakes. 14,200 subscribers and it’s showing up in search when people look for you. Annoying, but we’re watching it closely.
Brand name misuse — making ad money reviewing fakes of your products
Recommended action: We’re tracking their growth. The moment they start linking to counterfeit purchase pages, we file immediately. Contact details are logged and the complaint is pre-written. Watching carefully.

Web
novagoods.info — Parked, inactive for 90+ days
This domain’s been parked and completely quiet for over 90 days. Nothing’s happening here — it reads like an abandoned registration or a speculative hold with no real intent. Don’t worry about this one.
Inactive and harmless — nothing happening here
Recommended action:We’ll keep it on the quarterly check-in list, but honestly you can forget about this one
USPTO
NOVA NOVA — Application No. 98/201,445 · Class 43 (restaurant services)
Someone’s opening a restaurant called NOVA NOVA. Nothing to do with apparel or sporting goods — completely different world. Similar word, zero overlap. You’re safe.
Completely different industry — no conflict whatsoever
Recommended action:Nothing to do here. Enjoy knowing your trademark is safe from the restaurant industry.
Instagram
@nova.goods.ca — Canadian fan community account
A small fan account in Canada (340 followers) posting about loving your products. Clearly labeled as unofficial, no selling, no ads, no funny business. Just real customers being enthusiastic about your brand. That’s a good thing.
Genuine fan account — these are the good guys
Recommended action:No action needed — and honestly, you might want to reach out to this person. They’d probably make a great brand ambassador.
Domain
novagoods.org — Registered by Northern Ontario Volunteer Association
This is a non-profit called the Northern Ontario Volunteer Association — they use NOVA as an acronym. They’ve had this domain for six years, they’re not selling anything, and their audience has nothing to do with yours. Complete coincidence.
Unrelated acronym — just a coincidence, nothing to see here
Recommended action:Absolutely nothing to do here. Good luck to them with their volunteering.
